Haystack breakfast covered in gravy was delicious- I recommend splitting it! Standard breakfast was perfectly cooked with amazing biscuits. Breakfast burrito with bacon was chock full of bacon and great salsa. Free coffee refills. We came back the next day for coffee & to order two boxed lunches for a day of hiking in Yellowstone. Lunches were great, the bread especially. We shared two boxed lunches between four of us- two adults & two kids. Really nice staff, clean bathroom. Get the biscuits!!!

I'm so happy that there are new owners here. No more 45 minute waiting to get a sandwich and they've improved the quality tremendously. In general the service has improved so much. They have done some remodeling which looks great too. Also, they have gone back to build your own sandwich which has certainly helped streamline the process.

We had a really bad experience . Food and drinks were awful .I don't think they know what Eggs Benedict is . Eggs should have been poached , not over-easy. It was covered in some kind of think yellow sauce. YUCK ! I removed the sauce hoping for something good under neath of it. What a disappointment ! Whatever was on top[ of eggs had nothing to do with hollandaise sauce. Pasties looked dry and unappetizing, more like grocery store bought than a bakery. Chai still had unmixed powder in it, was think, and only lube warm. Just keep going to find a better place.

Great burgers. We were just passing through and needed some lunch. We each had a burger and the homemade buns were super. The burger had fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and pickels. The service was excellent and very friendly. The place was clean and looked new or recently remodeled. I would highly recommend the family friendly bakery and lunch stop.

Great sandwiches. Their homemade french bread is fantastic. They're breakfast was good as well. Would definitely go again :)

Decided to stop by on our way into Yellowstone after looking at the reviews on yelp -- but WOW this restaurant did not live up to its review. The staff was VERY unfriendly. Super short with customers and condescending responses. I hope management works on their customer service with the staff. I ordered an egg, cheese, and avocado breakfast bagel. The "avocado" (which was a dollar extra) was a thin smear of "guacamole" that looked and tasted like baby food, it was old and brown/green. Grossest thing I've ever eaten. Big disappointment all around!

We stopped here on the way into Yellowstone for some sandwiches at 930am. There was a decent line - about 4-5 families in front of me. My order was taken by 945, but I did not walk out with them until 10:15. we all agreed they were excellent sandwiches! We got 3 sandwiches hard salami, turkey and ham - all on French bread. I would've given this 4 stars but it took forever for deli sandwiches to be made. It was nice that they also put all the condiments in a separate wrapped boat. I def recommend eating here though! Breakfast looked delicious and it's obviously good by having a long line! Just give yourself enough time if your picking up to go.

We stopped at Ernie's Bakery and Deli on our way to Yellowstone for the day. My family ordered four box lunches to bring with us, and they were very good. The particular meal that we ordered came with a sandwich, bag of chips, a piece of fruit, and a cookie for dessert. The sandwiches were made fresh daily, and the condiments were provided for you in individual cups. I would visit Ernie's again!

Ordering experience was awful. Need a better system for sure! My latte kinda tasted like drip instead of espresso.. Boooo

I started my day at Ernie's ordered a Raspberry Mocha the drink was perfect! My server Q was wonderfully pleasant. I liked the positive energy of the bakery. Later this week I plan to take the fam to try the box lunch !

We stopped into Ernie's for their advertised box lunch. The lunch was supposed to include a sandwich, drink, chips, candy, a cookie (which looked delicious in the case), and an apple. The sandwich was okay (bland bread and pre-packaged meat, but thoughtfully separate condiments) and the drink came in a can, so hard to go wrong there. The candy was so melted it was more like a packet of mustard (liquid sloshing in the packaging, not just soft), which was baffling because it was 65 out and the only way to melt them so thoroughly would be to store them *in* the oven. The chip packets were tiny, not the full-sized ones on display. The apple and cookie were simply nonexistent in both of our boxes, so we ended up paying $13 (including tip) each for a cheap, build-it-yourself sandwich, a 50 cent can of coke, a 10 cent bag of chips, and a chocolate-flavored condiment packet (which was randomly selected, so even if it had been solid enough to open we both would have been allergic to the coconut in one of them). We couldn't help but escape the feeling that, because the customers who order box lunches are expected to eat them miles and hours away in the park, the employees feel free to short-change those customers because it's too much of a hassle for them to come back and complain about it. We opened our lunches within minutes of their being assembled (we ordered to-go because we had cats in the car), so finding horrifically melted candy and half the food we paid for in our bags left us feeling robbed. I wouldn't recommend eating here at all, but if every other lunch place in town burns down for some reason and you're about to pass out from starvation, you should still triple-check your order in case they escalate to leaving the meat out of the sandwiches as well.

Great great great food! The atmosphere is easy. The menu is well put together for a breakfast(bakery style), lunch place. Coffee is decent, not the best but definitely far from the worst. We had a "Ruben" and turkey clubs, the sandwiches were phenomenal. The Ruben was possibly the best I have had. The only thing I would change would be the order process and staff morale. Seemed a little clunky for lack of a better term. Enjoy the food, we did.

  • G G.

Muffins were great but the guy behind the counter was extremely rude. It wasn't like they were busy either there was one other family in the place at the time. Certainly won't be back

    (1)
  • E B.

Food was solid. We got the box lunches which were a pretty good deal. The staff was less than friendly. I felt like I was inconveniencing them to ask for a particular cookie or chip to go with our box lunches. Don't think I'd return because of this.

  • Marilyn E.

Great Box lunches for a great price. I brought a group to visit Yellowstone and rather than eat at a concession stand in the park Ernie's Deli made some boxed lunches for us with great big sandwiches, condiments, apple, chips, water and a yummy cookie. They were ready on time and were liked by everyone. The selection of meats and cheeses was amazing! Highly recommend this instead of fighting crowds in the park at the restaraunts.

WISH I HAD EATEN HERE SOONER On our last day at West Yellowstone, Yelp helped me discover this place and I'm regretting not finding it sooner. Off the main area (but still within walking distance--duh the whole town is within walking distance) it seemed like half of the people dining there were visitors and the other half were locals--I'm still wondering how the visitors found this place. Since this place closes around 2pm, it's great for all your food energy needs before a day in Yellowstone. Plus the staff was hugely friendly, enthusiastic and ready to give a background once I complimented the bread. FRESH FRESH FOOD Did I mention the Bread was excellent? (I never thought I'd compliment Bread more than the Meat in between) My Hot Roast Beef Sandwich contained a delicious Horseradish Mayo which didn't overwhelm it with creaminess (which is why I normally don't enjoy Mayo) but delivered a great kick. And the slight crunch of the fresh Veggies added more dimension. My BF's Firehole Sandwich didn't need sauce. The Salsa Turkey Breast was good on its own but paired well flavor-wise and texture-wise with the Provolone Cheese. And yes--the Bread on both were excellent! All baked in house. This Bread frenzy love was also baked into their homemade Cinnamon Swirl Donut. Insanely light and fluffy with just the right amount of Icing which was as equally light as the Bread. An Espresso shot (the only so-so item here) helped pump me up further. MORE INTERESTING ITEMS Everyone just sits on indoor picnic tables. I saw several families with YNP maps spread out in front of them while they ate. To one end, windowed fridges touted many beverages including a good variety of local, gourmet sodas. Like others mentioned, Ernie's also assembles Lunch-To-Go boxes for a very good price.

Some friends highly suggested we eat at Ernie's during our stay in West Yellowstone. The best I can say is that the food was edible. Not great, but not terrible. We have had better food at other places in town. The sandwiches were average, at best.

    (3)
  • E S.

The hot roast beef was very bland, not enough horse radish. The big bear turkey that my bf got was nice and tasty, not dry. The cookies are good there too.

The absolutely best breakfast place in yellowstone. Everything is fresh and yummy! We ate everyday during our 4 day visit . Sandwiches are great for to go lunch :) loved being here and will be back for sure :)

  • Jodi M.

So we drove by this place a few times before stopping in and then we ate here everyday we had left of vacation. Usually we would just have breakfast, but after the first day we got lunch to go also and that saved us from having to stop in the park. We would get bacon or sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches on croissant. These were massive!! I would eat half and save half for the wilderness. Made to order these were very fresh, hot and delicious. Above all they were affordable when you consider your options in this remote area. One day I did order an eclair, but it wasn't anything to write home about. I would stick to what they do best and get a sandwich.

  • K S.

My family and I ate here 4 times in 3 days (2 breakfasts and 2 lunches)... looooved it! Boxed lunch was a steal - delish sandwich on homemade bread, drink, chips, cookie and candy for under $10. There were also a ton of other gourmet sandwich options - hot roast beef, reubens, veggie, roast chicken, hard salami... For breakfast, we had fresh baked raspberry-filled croissants one day and a bear claw (complete with cute little almond bear toenails). They also had breakfast burritos and other fare for those who like a more savory breakfast. Staff was fast and friendly. Loooved this place!

    (5)
  • Hayley B.

Great local spot to grab breakfast, a yummy sandwich, coffee or freshly baked donut. The service is quite slow, so patience is key. I came with friends the other day and we all got our food at different times. If you're in a rush and taking your order to go, call ahead. Box lunches are tops!!! Staff very friendly, lots of places to sit if you are dining in.

  • Melody L.

Best burger I ever had! The super sweet lady at the front counter suggested I get a focaccia burger bun and it was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. I was here in the middle of March so it was pretty empty at around 1PM, which was great, but since I live in Bozeman and go through West Yellowstone pretty often I will stop here as often as I can in the summer.

    (5)
  • Lila S.

Sandwiches are good but takes a really long time to get your food (over 30 minutes for 3 sandwiches) and the cook Mark yells loudly at the employees for really small things in front of the customers. The cashiers are friendly but the cook needs to change his attitude because we felt really uncomfortable, as did other customers. Grizzly bear sandwich was pretty good as was the chicken biscuit. The fries were a little bit over salted. This place needs to be better managed but is overall a good option to come here before going into Yellowstone!

Super friendly, nice prices, awesome sandwiches!

  • Ashley A.

I was expecting good things from Ernie's, but ended up disappointed. First of all, when we arrived, there were about 3 other groups waiting around for their box lunches. I should have taken that as a sign. Our wait time for our sandwiches ended up being almost 45 minutes. Absolutely not worth it when Yellowstone is calling! The staff (mostly teens and college-aged kids) seemed less interested in preparing the box lunches than in hanging out with each other, which surely contributed to the wait. The lunches themselves were fine: the sandwiches were tasty, but the apples were grainy (not nearly as good as the ones we picked up at the grocery store the day before which certainly were cheaper). Oh, and we almost got the wrong drinks, but were watching our boxes being prepared and stopped the employee before closing and stapling the bags. It would have been more time- and cost-effective if we'd gotten take-out from the KFC down the street.

  • Tricia C.

Stopped by to pick up lunch to go. We loved all that we ordered. The sandwiches were fun to read about. We sat and waited for our order at the tables provided inside. My sandwich a chicken club was delicious. I am so picky when eating outside of my house. The bread was homemade and wonderful. My daughter said to me "Mom you are eating what you ordered and not complaining." My husband ordered a meatball sandwich which he enjoyed throughly. We will come back... Thumbs up.... :))))))

Cute place and clean restroom. Great meeting up place before going into the park. I had a great double espresso shot for super cheap! No fat free milk though. Quick service. Friend got a breakfast burrito and enjoyed it!

If you're near the North West side of Yellowstone and looking for a place to eat GREAT food ~ Ernie's Bakery & Deli is the place to go!! Don't let their name full you; they have a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. The owners are awesome and very accommodating. Sure they can make you just about any type of sandwich possible and yes they have fresh bakery items and piping hot soup also, but if you're hungry and need a few extra carbs for that snowmobiling trip or long hike, then go for one of Ernies 1/2 lb burgers and fries!! Ernie's burgers are BURGERLICIOUS! These 1/2 lb. burgers are HUGE and tasty! You have your choice of fresh wheat or white buns toasted, topped with a 1/2 lb grass fed beef patty then add whatever you prefer on it. I chose bacon and mushrooms on a wheat bun (see pic) with fries. It hit the spot for a long day of snowmobiling! Some additional perks: they offer free coffee refills and have free Wi-Fi! If you're in the area I hope you try Ernie's Bakery & Deli. Good owners serving great food. Hope to see you there!

We came here for its high yelp review only to discover this is a places way over rated. They do have a variety of breakfast & lunch options but they messed up with basic such as over dried oatmeal and muffin sandwich. We also ordered cup yogurt which is inflated in package. By the quality of food it deserves at most three stars, however what makes it only one is the terrible service. Rude in taking any request and it took us three times just to get the coffee ordered. The whole waiting time for food is over 30 mins which is not the start you want for a Yellowstone trip.

    (1)
  • Diane S.

Went here based on its yelp reviews and was very happy. So happy we went back the next day. Had breakfast both times. Their breakfast burrito was delicious. Pastries were delicious. Service was good, prices are ok- I'd definitely go back.

A great stop for breakfast and their box lunch special is perfect before heading into the park for the day!

    (4)
  • Robert N.

The food was above above average which included the Philly Steak n Fries and spouse had a chicken sandwich and fries. The reason for the lower review was three fold. 1. Fountain drink refills were 97 cents. I don't like restaurants that nickel and dime you. 2. Paper plates is always a turn off....3. The bakery items were basically sold out by 11:45 AM......Other than that is was ok. The parking lot is small so get there early. I got the feel that their core business was carry out box lunches...

    (2)
  • Kathleen H.

Great box lunches. We went on our own one day and ordered four sandwiches. It took about half an hour, but it's not fast food, it's good food. Bakery items were also great.

  • Heather M.

Best sandwich shop in the area. I recommend calling ahead and ordering a box lunch to-go. That way, you can take your lunch into Yellowstone National Park and eat it at whatever spot you choose. Just watch out for Yogi Bear and tidy up after yourself. You choose the type of meat, cheese, and bread you want. The sandwiches are huge, and the box lunch comes with a piece of fruit, a bag of chip, a freshly baked cookie, a piece of candy, and either a soda or a bottled water. For $10, it is easily the best lunch deal in 200 miles. The turkey sandwich is my personal favorite, and their donuts are also very tasty. The staff is also friendly, and will trade YNP stories with you if they aren't too busy. If they are busy, be prepared to wait for a bit for your food if you did not call ahead. Subway they are not. Ernie's is only open for breakfast and lunch, so get there before 2 pm.

Great food! I had a Philly cheese steak and the bread was amazing! The box lunch special is a great deal. The only negative thing I have to say is that the service seemed unorganized and hectic...

  • Chris G.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way into Yellowstone. It's a very small place and ordering can be difficult as it's a popular stop for tourists, especially foreign tourists as we found out. We had a breakfast burrito, which was good, and the biscuits and gravy, which were amazing- easily the best I've ever had outside of my grandmother's kitchen. The gravy was chock full of sausage and the biscuits were soft and delicious. The highlight, however,-and the thing we kept talking about long after we'd returned to pick up sandwiches for our drive onward-was the Ernie's Cream donut. This donut is absolute perfection. Homemade with an amazing cream glaze-wow! We ate two with breakfast and were indescribably disappointed there were none left when we came back by to get our lunch to go. Don't miss this donut!

  • Zeke T.

Great deli! The prices are a little high for some of their sandwiches, but we were not disappointed. It was a nice lunch on the way to Yellowstone.

Rude staff, poor service, food was forgettable at best. We left wishing we had gone somewhere else--and still hungry.

We first knew of Ernie's when we got a packed lunch bag for a tour we were on. The lunch bag was good enough for us to return ourselves the next day for our own park tour snack pack!. The lunch pack is about $10 and has a great sandwich with fillings of your choice. The best part is that they pack the tomato etc separately so the sandwich doesn't get soggy! There's also a bottle of water, a candy treat, a bag of chips/crisps and a piece of fruit. Fantastic value and perfect to keep you going all day in the park!

  • Hanne A P.

We weren't expecting much when we popped in for a quick breakfast before heading into the park, but boy were were surprised! Breakfast was delicious, came out in a timely manner and pretty cheap for what we got. I will certainly stop again when I go through Yellowstone again next year. Yum yum!

  • Jason S.

The other bakeries were closed for the season (end of September), but Ernie's came through and I brought home a box of delicious Bear Claws, cinnamon rolls, and chocolate Long Johns to share. Have had breakfast food there before as well. The deli-style ordering is a bit awkward with a full restaurant of people, but it does the job and the food is fresh, simple, and tasty.

Family each grabbed a box lunch on the way to float the river. Must say, the sammiches are TASTY and the lunch quite filling.

Thank you Ernie's. This is a place that knows what it is and does a fantastic job at it. The staff is helpful and experienced, the food is fresh and tasty and the locals will all steer you here if you allow them. We come to Yellowstone for the park, this place knows that so they make a killer breakfast and great sandwiches to go. Duh...

  • Ameet G.

Avocado dream sandwich is healthy and tasty. Grilled veggie sandwich was very cheesy and greasy chocolate walnut strudel is yummy in tummy . I want to give 3 1/2 rating. As it's not there I had to select 4 star.

    (4)
  • C M.

Affordable place for a quick breakfast (which is what we did) and the donuts are good as well. We went to Yellowstone back in early May and so many things were closed so we don't know everything West Yellowstone has to offer but this place was a good place to try.

    (4)
  • Sara S.

Ernie's is a great place to stop for breakfast on your way intot he park! Have basic breakfast selections (eggs, egg sandwiches, oatmeal, etc...) and they also serve lunch and dinner. You can get a boxed lunch "to go" if you are hiking/spending the day in Yellowstone. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Not a "fancy" breakfast place with 3 types of french toast, etc...but if you are looking for a good and afforable breakfast, this is the place to go! You order at the counter and pick up the food at the counter. Great spot for a quick breakfast!

    (4)
  • Matt M.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the sandwiches here are great. Good value for money, too.

    (5)
  • Sandi F.

Seriously, go here BEFORE you get hungry because it'll take you that long to get through their menu of sandwiches! There's something in here for everyone. Fantastic. The staff was very friendly and even apologetic that I had to wait since I unfortunately came in after a huge family did their order. I didn't mind the wait. They also have free wifi. Try their cream sodas, it was a fantastic treat.

  • B M.

Ate here on the way to YNP. Had the chicken fried steak sandwich. It was all breading. Also ordered the hot roast beef sandwich. It took approximately 20 minutes to get our order and they forgot the roast beef sandwich was supposed to be hot. Considering they don't have a cold/regular roast beef sandwich on the menu I found this irritating to say the least. I also ordered a side of ranch to go with the fries. The cashier gave me a salad dressing packet with nothing to put it into. Slow service, bad food and a lack of ability to pay attention or use common sense.

    (1)
  • Elizabeth T.

If you are looking for something healthy you will be disappointed in the veggie sandwich with comes with oily spoonfuls of 2 different types of pesto (regular and a red pepper pesto) as well as mayo and feta cheese - the sprouts and lettuce that were on there were hanging on for dear life, trying not to slide away thanks to all of the oil.

  • Fred G.

I can't actually review the food because we didn't wait around to get any. We got there at about 8:30 a.m. and left fifteen minutes later. Food is ordered at the counter and it appears the orders are taken only by one person. With one person in line in front of us, we waited about ten minutes to place our order. The person in front of us waited a good five minutes standing at the counter before their order was taken and they ordered breakfast items and takeout lunches. When it was our turn, we tried to order items off the menu and were told abruptly that breakfast was "about twenty minutes out", but that we could get some pre-made items (breakfast burritos or sandwiches) right away. Not sure how their "system" is supposed to work, but wanting a sit-down breakfast, we decided to go somewhere else.

    (2)
  • Mary F.

Unbelievably slow service. Came in for an eat-in breakfast and sandwiches to-go before entering the park. Waited about 40 minutes for an unremarkable omelet. Sandwiches were nothing special. Honestly, my local grocery store has better sandwiches. Can't see what the appeal of this place is. Maybe an off day?

    (2)
  • Edward H.

We come to Ernie's every morning load up on lunches for the day. With so many great things on the menu, I'd always succumb to their siren's call one the way out the door. So far I've tried their fresh muffins, ham/egg sandwiches, and breakfast burritos. Each one is invariably better than the next and every cup of coffee is brewed to perfection. Everything is reasonably priced and they open 7am sharp to get you started on your day. The food is some of the best in town but the staff even better! Doc is always ready with my group's lunches bright and early (always on time). Donna is at the counter with big cups of coffee and a warm smile. There's absolutely no better way to start your day in West Yellowstone than Ernie's. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. Thanks for the great times and giving me a destination to look forward to on my next visit!

You can combine two mealtime shopping necessities when you shop here: first, you can choose from a number of breakfast options including classic egg and hotcake combinations if you crave cholesterol or a sweet roll from their bakery. While you are enjoying your morning meal, you can have Ernie's prepare a box lunch to take into the park. You can choose from a variety of breads, lunch meats, and cheeses for the main course. Ernie's will throw in fruit, a cookie, and a piece of candy to fill you up. We went here three days in a row and bought a bag lunch each time. Ernie's also has computers for checking your email and wifi if you brought your own laptop or netbook. How can you go wrong here?

The Best Food in the area! A must go for breakfast, nothing fancy but nice & easy homemade food. Love the ambiance.

    (5)
  • Lois S.

We found this little place on Yelp for lunch, and loved it so much we went back again the next day for breakfast, and also ordered a boxed lunch. If you're going into Yellowstone and don't know for sure where you'll be around lunchtime, it's a great boxed lunch at a fair price.

  • Wendy C.

A nice breakfast spot near Yellowstone West entrance. Rocky mountain toast = an egg fried in a hole of a slice of bread, toasted Bullet and hole = fried sweet dough in coin size and flat-donut shape, dusted with sugar. They must do a lot of lunch-box carry away businesses, as droves of people were in and out picking up their orders. Our breakfast took a little while to prepare so if you are in a big rush to see the park, this might not be your best choice. Otherwise, chilax and enjoy a good breakfast.

We stopped at Ernie's to grab some breakfast on the go for a day trip in Yellowstone. The staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. We ordered two different breakfast sandwiches and they couldn't have been any better. Fresh donuts were available as well, and seemed to popular with the locals. If you get the chance check this place out!

  • Rachel V.

We tried this place for breakfast based on the recommendation from one of the guides at Bud Lilly's Fly Shop and were very impressed with the food. We both ordered the Egg, sausage, and cheese sandwiches on their homemade bread. These were probably some of the best breakfast sandwiches we have ever had. The staff was friendly and helpful. This place also had a large selection of sandwiches for lunch and appear to cater to those wanting to pick up a box lunch to bring in the park. The guides said this is where they get their lunches for clients. I would love to return one day for lunch here and try some of their lunch items. Ernie's opens at 7am for breakfast.

  • Philip R.

Friendly staff. We bought sandwiches here several times before going in to YNP. Nice array of choices. Not surprisingly, 'French' bread is not exactly crusty; pretty standard soft stuff. Coffee not very good; stood in the coffee pot too long; latte fresher & better. Service is a bit slow, so if getting sandwiches to go, call ahead.

Great sandwiches. They will even make lunch and snack bags so you can have a picnic or take it fishing. We took it to Old Faithful and ate lunch after watching the geyser. Will try their breakfast next time.

  • Tamara W.

I went to Ernie's early one morning and got fresh pastries and donuts. They were yummy. There were a lot of different types - all baked fresh. They also have fresh bagels. You can even get the Wall Street Journal or New York Times here if you want! Ernie's also has all sorts of sandwiches they can make for you just the way you want them. So many different choices and the ingredients are really fresh. If you are going to Yellowstone take a box lunch from Ernie's for a picnic and skip the lunch at the lodges. You'll be happy you did!

"Best breakfast in town! Love the breakfast sandwiches, hash browns, and donuts. Plus they were playing bluegrass music, which I love! Very affordable. None of the breakfast meals cost over $7-8.00. However, it is definitely on the greasy side. I'd recommend Ernie's!"

  • Zack P.

I have been eating here more this summer than any other place in West Yellowstone. The staff is ridiculously friendly (she's going to remember my name the next time I come in, I know it). They have fast free Wi-Fi and are open all year (both of those are tough to come by in this town). My mainstays this year have been the souvlaki chicken salad (chicken on a bed of lettuce, kalamata olives, feta, tahziki) and the Cucumber Sandwich (cream cheese, avocado, tomato, sprouts). I just ask, "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, Ernies, please stop using the plastic cutlery and foam plates!!"

This place has a cost environment. I went to the bakery this morning to have some donut, muffin and a hot tea. The donut was perfect, and the muffin nice. Besides, the place provides free wi-fi.

Loved this place. The take-out bag lunches (sandwich on homemade bread, chips, homemade cookie, drink, and small candy bar for $10) are awesome. I especially liked that they wrapped the sandwich separately from the veggie fixins so that the bread didn't get all soggy. You get to choose from good ingredients too - pastrami, cappicola, dill havarti, etc. Stopped in every morning for sack lunches to put in the cooler. Heck of a good cinnamon bearclaw too.

Great homemade morning pastries and really friendly staff make Ernie's a must stop. Did not have time to try the extensive sandwich selections but they sounded great and if breakfast is any example they should be good as well.

The fresh bread sandwiches are indeed tasty, and we polished off most of our meal before taking some to go for lunch. The menu is extensive. If you are here for a few days, check it out. Seating are basic wooden benches, and portions are a good size. I was somewhat let down by the general greasiness, but I've been spoiled by the fluffy scrambled eggs from Residence Inn.

I started my day at Ernie's ordered a Raspberry Mocha the drink was perfect! My server Q was wonderfully pleasant. I liked the positive energy of the bakery. Later this week I plan to take the fam to try the box lunch !

Muffins were great but the guy behind the counter was extremely rude. It wasn't like they were busy either there was one other family in the place at the time. Certainly won't be back

    (3)

The hot roast beef was very bland, not enough horse radish. The big bear turkey that my bf got was nice and tasty, not dry. The cookies are good there too.

The absolutely best breakfast place in yellowstone. Everything is fresh and yummy! We ate everyday during our 4 day visit . Sandwiches are great for to go lunch :) loved being here and will be back for sure :)

    (1)

We weren't expecting much when we popped in for a quick breakfast before heading into the park, but boy were were surprised! Breakfast was delicious, came out in a timely manner and pretty cheap for what we got. I will certainly stop again when I go through Yellowstone again next year. Yum yum!

Duh...

Avocado dream sandwich is healthy and tasty. Grilled veggie sandwich was very cheesy and greasy chocolate walnut strudel is yummy in tummy . I want to give 3 1/2 rating. As it's not there I had to select 4 star.

  • C M.

Affordable place for a quick breakfast (which is what we did) and the donuts are good as well. We went to Yellowstone back in early May and so many things were closed so we don't know everything West Yellowstone has to offer but this place was a good place to try.

Duh...

Avocado dream sandwich is healthy and tasty. Grilled veggie sandwich was very cheesy and greasy chocolate walnut strudel is yummy in tummy . I want to give 3 1/2 rating. As it's not there I had to select 4 star.

Affordable place for a quick breakfast (which is what we did) and the donuts are good as well. We went to Yellowstone back in early May and so many things were closed so we don't know everything West Yellowstone has to offer but this place was a good place to try.

We found this little place on Yelp for lunch, and loved it so much we went back again the next day for breakfast, and also ordered a boxed lunch. If you're going into Yellowstone and don't know for sure where you'll be around lunchtime, it's a great boxed lunch at a fair price.

Food was solid. We got the box lunches which were a pretty good deal. The staff was less than friendly. I felt like I was inconveniencing them to ask for a particular cookie or chip to go with our box lunches. Don't think I'd return because of this.

  • Virginia M.

The hot roast beef was very bland, not enough horse radish. The big bear turkey that my bf got was nice and tasty, not dry. The cookies are good there too.

    (1)

We weren't expecting much when we popped in for a quick breakfast before heading into the park, but boy were were surprised! Breakfast was delicious, came out in a timely manner and pretty cheap for what we got. I will certainly stop again when I go through Yellowstone again next year. Yum yum!
